Trusted Electrician in Scottsdale, AZ

Welcome to Sparks by Rabbit LLC, your trusted source for reliable and affordable electrical services. From San Tan to Surprise, we provide safe, code-compliant work — from quick repairs to complete home upgrades. As a licensed and insured local company, we’re proud to power your home with dependable expertise.

LICENSED ELECTRICIANS SERVING SCOTTSDALE AND THE PHOENIX VALLEY

Sparks by Rabbit LLC is a licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contractor based in Scottsdale, Arizona. We work almost entirely in homes — the panel in your garage, the recessed lighting in your kitchen, the outlet that stopped working in the back bedroom, the 240-volt circuit your new EV needs. Because residential work is what we do all day, we know how Valley homes are built, how the older Old Town and Arcadia neighborhoods were wired, and what the newer North Scottsdale builds tend to need first.

Every job starts the same way. We come out, look at what you actually have, and give you a written estimate for free. No trip charge to quote, no pressure, and no vague ballpark that changes once the drywall is open. If the work requires a permit, we pull it. If it requires an inspection, we meet the inspector. Our Arizona Registrar of Contractors license is ROC 350139, and we carry insurance on every job we take.

Not sure what you need? Start with electrical repairs if something has stopped working, panel upgrades if your breakers keep tripping, or call (602) 784-6382 and describe what is happening. We would rather talk you out of an unnecessary job than sell you one.

ELECTRICAL SERVICES WE OFFER

Residential electrical work across Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert. Each service below has its own page with detail on scope, timing, and what to expect.

Electrical Repairs

Dead outlets, flickering lights, buzzing switches, and breakers that will not reset. We trace the fault back to its source instead of swapping parts and hoping, then repair it to code.

Electrical Panel Upgrades

Replacing an undersized or obsolete panel with a modern 200-amp service. Common in homes built before 1990, and almost always required before adding an EV charger, a spa, or a casita.

Circuit Breaker Repair

A breaker that trips over and over is telling you something. We test the circuit, determine whether the problem is load, a fault, or a failing breaker, and fix the cause rather than the symptom.

Lighting Installation

Recessed cans, under-cabinet strips, pendants, landscape and patio lighting, and full LED retrofits. We handle the layout, the dimmer compatibility, and the drywall work that comes with it.

Ceiling Fan Installation

New fans, replacements, and fans on high or sloped ceilings. We verify the box is fan-rated, add bracing where it is needed, and set up remote or wall control before we leave.

EV Charger Installation

Level 2 charging for Tesla, Rivian, Ford, and every other brand. We size the circuit, run the conductors, and confirm your panel can carry the load before the first hole is drilled.

Home Wiring Upgrades

Rewiring older homes, replacing aluminum branch circuits, adding dedicated circuits for appliances, and bringing pre-1980s wiring up to current code without gutting the house.

Smart Home Wiring

Smart switches, dimmers, thermostats, cameras, and networked lighting, installed on circuits that can actually support them and configured so they still work a year from now.

Hot Tub and Spa Wiring

GFCI-protected 240-volt spa circuits with the required disconnect, trenching, and bonding. Permitted and inspected, because spa circuits are one of the first things an inspector checks.

WHY SCOTTSDALE HOMEOWNERS CHOOSE US

Licensed, Bonded, Insured

Arizona ROC 350139. Every permit pulled, every inspection met. You can verify our license with the Registrar of Contractors before we ever set foot in your home.

Free Written Estimates

We quote in writing before work begins, and the number we give you is the number you pay unless you change the scope. There is no trip fee for the estimate.

Residential Specialists

We are not a commercial outfit squeezing in house calls between job sites. Homes are the whole business, which is why we recognize Valley-specific problems on sight.

Straight Answers

If a repair will hold, we will tell you. If it is genuinely time to replace something, we will explain why in plain language and show you exactly what we are looking at.

WHAT WORKING WITH US LOOKS LIKE

Most homeowners call us because something broke, or because a remodel is being held up by electrical work. Either way, the process is the same.

1. Call or Request an Estimate

Tell us what is happening. A lot of issues can be narrowed down over the phone, which saves you time and tells us what to load on the truck.

2. On-Site Assessment

We open the panel, test the circuit, and look at the actual conditions in your home. Then we explain what we found and what your realistic options are.

3. Written Estimate

You get a clear, itemized price in writing, along with a timeline and a straight answer about whether the job needs a permit and inspection.

4. The Work, Done to Code

We protect the work area, complete the job to NEC and local requirements, clean up after ourselves, and walk you through what changed before we go.

WHERE WE WORK

Scottsdale is home base. Our shop sits on East Indianola Avenue just outside Old Town, and most of our work happens within a short drive of it — Old Town, McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch, DC Ranch, Troon, McDowell Mountain Ranch, Arcadia, and North Scottsdale, plus Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, and Fountain Hills.

Beyond Scottsdale we regularly work in Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert. If your city is not listed, check the service area page or just call. From San Tan to Surprise, if we can get there this week, we will.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions Scottsdale homeowners ask before hiring an electrician.

How do I know if I need an electrical panel upgrade?

Signs include breakers that trip frequently, a 100-amp or smaller service panel, flickering lights when appliances start, a fuse box instead of circuit breakers, or plans to add an EV charger or major appliance. If your panel is original to a home built before 1990, a free assessment is a smart starting point.

Are you licensed to do electrical work in Arizona?

Yes. Sparks by Rabbit LLC holds an Arizona Registrar of Contractors Qualified Electrical Contractor license, ROC #350139. We are fully insured and every job that requires a permit is permitted, inspected, and done to code.

How much does an electrician cost in Scottsdale?

Costs vary by job. A standard outlet or switch replacement may run $100 to $250. A new dedicated circuit is typically $200 to $500. A full 200-amp panel upgrade typically runs about $4,000 depending on scope. EV charger installation runs $500 to $2,500 depending on the difficulty of the run. Every estimate from Sparks by Rabbit is free, written, and given before any work begins.

How quickly can you get to my home?

For non-emergency projects we typically schedule within the week. For urgent electrical issues — no power to part of the home, burning smell, or a tripped breaker that will not reset — call us directly at (602) 784-6382 and we will prioritize your situation.

Do you handle both small repairs and large projects?

Yes. We handle everything from replacing a single outlet to full panel upgrades, EV charger installation, whole-home rewiring, smart lighting systems, and ceiling fan installation. There is no job too small to get a professional, safe result.

What neighborhoods in Scottsdale do you serve?

We serve all of Scottsdale including Old Town, McCormick Ranch, DC Ranch, Arcadia, Gainey Ranch, Troon, McDowell Mountain Ranch, and North Scottsdale. We also work throughout Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, and Paradise Valley. If you are nearby, we will come out.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Estimates are free and given to you in writing before any work starts. There is no trip charge for coming out to look at a residential project inside our service area.

Do you pull permits?

Yes, whenever the work requires one. Panel upgrades, service changes, spa circuits, EV chargers, and rewires are typically permitted and inspected by the City of Scottsdale or whichever jurisdiction you are in. We handle the paperwork and we meet the inspector.

My breaker keeps tripping. Is that dangerous?

A breaker that trips is doing its job, so the tripping itself is protection rather than danger. Repeated tripping, though, means something is wrong: too much load on one circuit, a short, a ground fault, or a breaker that has worn out. If it will not reset, or you smell anything hot or burning, stop using the circuit and call us.

Can you add an EV charger without upgrading my panel?

Sometimes. It depends on your existing service size and how much of it the rest of the house already uses, so we run a load calculation first. Plenty of Scottsdale homes can take a Level 2 charger as they sit, while older 100-amp services usually need to be upgraded first.
